The range of outdoor fountains to choose from is large, and limited only by your taste and budget. The two most common materials for these larger fountains is cast stone concrete and fiberglass. Cast stone is specially prepared and reinforced concrete, molded and finished in stone colors and textures. There is a very large difference in the quality of stone from manufacturer to manufacturer. J K Worthy sells ONLY domestically (i.e. Made in the USA) produced cast stone garden fountains. Cheaper competitors will use inferior aggregate and do not fully discharge small air bubbles, which show up as cracks in the future. This is also a reason fountains "crumble". If you purchase one of our cast stone fountains, your can rest easy, as we use only the finest materials, and expert craftsmen to create your water feature. Fiberglass is another excellent choice. It can be lighter, depending on the finish. Be sure to choose fiberglass and not resin, which is the cheaper cousin of fiberglass, also known as plain old plastic.
When selecting indoor fountains don't limit yourself to just the common tabletop fountains. With the use of directional lighting or a strategically placed lamp, the dramatic effect on an otherwise bare wall can be wonderful. Neutral, classic, traditional finishes of weathered stone, sandstone, or aged and tarnished metal fit with traditional as well as contemporary furnishings. Wall fountains and garden fountains make a great choice to add that "little something" that can bring an entire room, patio, or garden together.
